This is an eye catching Nova with those bright colored flames on the hood and fenders! Cragar wheels, racing buckets, and an engine with a lumpy idle also attract attention. The question in many car circles is, do stickers and flames add horsepower? We hate to disappoint those who think flames add horsepower by saying that they don't, but they do add a splash of color to the front of the car. Rest assured, this Nova has plenty of horsepower thanks to the 460ci big block V8 mounted under the cowl hood. The engine started life as a 454ci V8 and has been worked over for higher horsepower and bigger displacement. The engine was treated to an upgraded ignition, steel crank, Holley 770cfm Street Avenger 4BBL carb, rectangle port '69 heads, 5 angle valve grind, and roller rockers....just to name a few of the changes made. A TH400 transmission handles gear selection, while power is delivered through a 10 bolt Eaton rear end with 3.42 gears.

Currently painted dark gray metallic with bright colored flames, this car originally left the factory painted Olympic Gold with black interior. The current color scheme definitely looks a lot more interesting than gold! A Cragar S/S five spoke wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich white letter tires look awesome paired with the stance and tough look of the car. The stance of the car is helped by air shocks, and polyurethane bushings keep any tendency to flex in check.

Inside the car are a number of modifications including racing seats, Auto Meter and SunPro gauges, Kenwood stereo, and a B&M shifter. The black bucket seats have been trimmed to match the backseat, a number of auxiliary gauges help monitor engine functions, a B&M shifter is close at hand for getting through the gears quickly, and a Kenwood Stereo provides tunes. Although we think the sound of that 460 V8 provides enough ear pleasing sounds for us.

This car has an awesome list of modifications, a custom paint job, and a bunch of power to back up the tough looks. Be sure to check out all the photos and video on our main website: Garage Kept Motors. Call if interested or e-mail with any questions. Thank you for looking.
